The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) is excited to welcome Mohegan as its latest member. Mohegan, formerly recognized as Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, has joined the IBIA to assist in safeguarding the integrity of athletic competitions.
Mohegan, established in 1996, is a company owned by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut. They possess, develop, and manage gaming and entertainment destinations in the United States, Canada, and Northern Asia. They also provide online gaming services through their Mohegan Digital brand.
“Digital gaming and sports wagering will remain significant components of the entertainment sector in the years to come,” stated Ray Pineault, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mohegan. “Joining the IBIA enables us to stay ahead of these trends and advancements while knowing we have collaborators in this highly regulated field.”
Khalid Ali, Chief Executive Officer of the IBIA, remarked: “Mohegan joining the IBIA is a significant victory for the association. It demonstrates our ongoing expansion across the globe, particularly in North America.”
The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) expresses gratitude for Mohegan’s commitment to the integrity of wagering and their collaboration with the IBIA’s prominent monitoring network, which encompasses a significant number of the world’s largest regulated betting entities.
This news arrives after the IBIA’s recent announcement of a cooperative agreement with the German Sports Betting Association (DSWV).
The accord will witness the DSWV and IBIA collaborating in Germany on matters related to betting and its associated integrity.
