The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has issued a directive to block an additional 10 online gambling sites, which the agency claims have been operating unlawfully in Australia.

Play Croco, Aussie Play, Golden Reels, All Spins Win, Bonza Spins, Pokie Spins, Golden Pokies, House of Pokies, Pokie Mate and PokieZ have all been classified as illicit offshore gambling platforms.

The ACMA stated that they conducted an investigation into each brand following numerous consumer grievances, concluding that all the websites contravened the Interactive Gambling Act of 2001.

Consequently, the ACMA has requested that Australian internet service providers (ISPs) block access to the 10 websites.

Australia has blocked 238 unlawful gambling websites since the ACMA initially made blocking requests in November 2019.

The ACMA also mentioned that since implementing new regulations against illegal offshore gambling in 2017, 130 illicit services have withdrawn from the Australian market.

The latest round of blocking actions follows the ACMA’s directive to ISPs to block another 18 websites last month, including Syndicate Casino, Fast Pay Casino, BitStarz and King Billy Casino.

Blocking orders were also issued in August, October and November of the previous year.
