Nevadas gaming earnings soared again in February, hitting $1.34 billion, a jump of 8.5% from the same time last year.

Nevadas gambling income in February was up 8.5% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching $1.34 billion (£1.07 billion/€1.25 billion). This surge was primarily fueled by strong performance in the baccarat sector.

The February revenue was notably higher than the $1.24 billion recorded in the same month last year. It also surpassed January’s $1.28 billion by 4.7%, marking the strongest January ever for Nevada.

Slot machines generated the most revenue this month, reaching $827.6 million, a slight increase of 0.6% from 2023. Of this, $536.6 million came from multi-denomination slot machine games and $207.6 million from penny slots.

However, only multi-denomination slot machine games showed growth in February. Revenue from all other game types in this category declined.

Baccarat was the fastest-growing segment in February. Revenue in this segment surged by 75.5% to $180.1 million. Blackjack revenue also saw a significant increase of 15.6% to $132.5 million, while craps revenue rose by 22.0% to $44.7 million.

Other areas of growth included Texas Hold’em Ultimate, where revenue climbed by 4.4% to $18 million, and Pai Gow Poker, where revenue increased by 4.7% to $10.4 million.

Sports betting revenue climbed as Nevada hosted the Super Bowl.

Nevada also hosted this year’s Super Bowl in February. The NFL season’s pinnacle was held at Allegiant Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Nevada reported 16.

The amount of money made from sports wagering remained stable in February, hitting $47.9 million. It’s interesting to note that American football only made up $12 million of that income.

Basketball was the most profitable sport for operators, bringing in $24.7 million in revenue. Hockey betting added another $4.3 million, while other sports brought in $7.7 million, despite baseball betting resulting in a loss of $929,000. It’s worth noting that $23.8 million of all sports betting revenue came from mobile betting.

The Las Vegas Strip’s income surpassed $800 million in February.

The Las Vegas Strip generated $800.7 million in revenue in February, a 12.4% increase from the previous year.

Slot machine revenue reached $381 million for the month, down 2.4%. Following statewide trends, multi-denominational slots were the only area to report growth, with all other game types seeing revenue decline.

In contrast, table, counter, and card game revenue climbed 30.3% to $419.7 million. Notable highlights included baccarat revenue rising 81.9% to $180.5 million and blackjack revenue increasing 20.8% to $107.8 million. As for sports betting revenue, it increased 9.9% to $24.7 million in February.
