## Allwyn Restructures UK Leadership Team Ahead of National Lottery Handover

As the designated successor to the UK National Lottery, Allwyn is implementing adjustments to its governing body in anticipation of the shift. Sir Keith Mills, a pivotal figure in Allwyn’s triumphant (yet somewhat disputed) tender to assume control of the lottery, will be relinquishing his position as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director.

Mills’ exit follows a string of legal objections to Allwyn’s winning proposal, including a recent petition by previous operator Camelot that was ultimately rejected. Despite the disagreements, Allwyn commended Mills’ input, with UK Chairman Justin King expressing gratitude for his “abundance of knowledge and proficiency.”

To address the vacancy, Allwyn has designated two new board members: Lord Sebastian Coe, the celebrated Olympic medalist and athletics executive, will join as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, while Simon Burke will assume the role of Independent Non-Executive Director and head of the Audit Committee. These selections bring a wealth of background and direction to Allwyn as it readies itself for one of the most momentous transitions in UK lottery annals.

These individuals are exceptional assets to the group and will contribute significant expertise to the National Lottery committee throughout the third and fourth terms.”

Coe and Burke presently hold non-executive director roles at Camelot, however, Coe will be resigning from his Camelot post prior to joining Allwyn.
