A prominent online betting platform, Betway, has committed to sponsoring the ESL Pro League for the 2017 season. This is not just any Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition; it’s the sixth season of an iconic league. Beginning immediately, fourteen elite teams from Europe and North America will compete online for a substantial one million dollar prize pool. Fans can watch all the matches every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, culminating in the grand finals held in Odense, Denmark from December 8th to 10th.

Betway’s participation extends beyond simply attaching their brand to the event. They are contributing their knowledge by providing live odds during the livestreams, an element they successfully tested at the ESL One Cologne tournament earlier this year. This dedication to ethical gaming within esports is not new for Betway; they have been a part of the Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) since 2016.

Anthony Werkman, Betway’s director of marketing and operations, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are incredibly excited to be involved in this. Over the coming months, we will observe some of the most talented CS:GO players globally vying for the most prestigious award in the game – the ESL Pro League championship and a life-altering prize.” He continued, “Our experience sponsoring ESL One Cologne was a resounding triumph. The favorable reception to incorporating live odds into the stream has strengthened our resolve to be even more engaged with tournaments and teams in the future.”
