Monarch Resorts declared two significant designations: Craig Durham will assume the position of the organization’s new Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, while Anne Ward will enter the directorial group as an autonomous non-executive member.

Durham will formally take on his responsibilities on October 4th, 2021, subject to regulatory clearances. In the interim, Alan McGregor will maintain his role as Corporate Secretary.

“Craig is a vastly seasoned and esteemed ASX-listed company secretary, legal expert, and governance specialist, possessing qualifications in both Australia and the United States, and I, representing the Board and leadership, welcome Craig to Crown,” stated Jane Halton, Crown’s Temporary Chair.

Ward will integrate into the board promptly upon securing all essential regulatory authorizations. Situated in Melbourne, she presently holds the Chair position for ASX-listed entities Redbubble and MNF Group and serves as a council representative for the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

“I am pleased to greet Anne to the Board,” remarked Halton. “Anne contributes a wealth of knowledge from her extensive board and executive trajectory, which will be indispensable to the Crown Board. Her appointment further solidifies the Board’s competence and expertise at a critical juncture as we persist in revitalizing the Board.”

Ward delivers a breadth of expertise to Crown, having engaged across a varied spectrum of industries encompassing financial services, technology, healthcare, government, education, and tourism.

She possesses legal and fine arts qualifications from the University of Melbourne and belongs to the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

“For many years, Crown has been woven into the tapestry of my birth city, Melbourne, and this chance to contribute to its upcoming phase is a privilege,” remarked Ward. “I eagerly anticipate joining the Board as a catalyst for constructive transformation and am dedicated to assisting the executive team as they execute their reformation plan and generate worth for stakeholders.”
