A legendary Australian Rules Football player, Wayne Carey, was recently asked to depart Crown Resorts Perth casino following the discovery of a white substance in his possession. He has since voiced criticisms of the establishment.

Allegedly, Carey dropped a small bag containing a white powder last week. The former athlete maintains that the substance was not against the law.

The 51-year-old clarified that the powder was anti-inflammatory medicine he had been using and claimed he offered it to employees after dropping the bag.

“I want to emphasize, there were no illicit substances involved. I am let down by this situation,” Carey stated.
“[Crown] had a couple of chances to contact law enforcement; they should have followed their procedures. If there was an unlawful substance [violation] they would have been justified in contacting the police.”

Crown Resorts’ recently appointed CEO, CiarĂ¡n Carruthers, contradicted Carey’s narrative, informing local news outlets that the footballer’s version of the incident directly opposed what Crown personnel recounted.

“When our personnel observe any issues with guests, they step in, they evaluate, and in this instance, they requested the guest to exit,” Carruthers explained.
“My understanding is that they were unaware it was Mr. Carey initially. He was a guest, no different than any other, obtaining chips at the gaming table.”
“[Staff] noticed what they believed could have been a tiny packet fall onto the table alongside some cash, and they promptly alerted their gaming supervisor.”

He abandoned his belongings at that location, and the subsequent events remain unclear to me. Kerry’s legal representative is investigating the possibility of their client being exploited, and the head of the local police force, a certain Colonel Blanche, stated just yesterday that the gambling establishment should have alerted the authorities when the incident occurred.
